Changes to the TigerPay API. We will list every change here. New fields and new error codes can be added at any time, so ignore anything you do not know.

Updates#

Latest changes

  • WooCommerce plugin 1.1.1. Shows Visa, Mastercard, Jaywan and Apple Pay logos at checkout. It needs WordPress 6.5 or newer and WooCommerce 8.0 or newer. See WooCommerce plugin.
  • Return URLs. success_url and cancel_url are both required when you create a payment. A request without either returns a 400 validation error. See Payments.
  • Refund limit. A payment can be refunded for 180 days after it succeeded. After that, POST /v1/payments/{id}/refunds returns 400 with the error code refund_window_expired. See Refunds.
  • Disputes. New webhook event charge.dispute.created, sent when a customer's bank raises a chargeback. Its data.object is the new Dispute object, with ids that start with dp_. See Disputes.

Payments#

  • Create, retrieve, list and cancel payments, in AED.
  • Hosted payment page: the customer pays on checkout_url and card details never reach your server.
  • Payment statuses: pending, succeeded, failed, cancelled, expired.
  • The payment object carries the card brand, last 4 digits and issuing country once paid, plus fee and net.
  • metadata, reference, description and customer_email on each payment.

Refunds#

  • Full and partial refunds on succeeded payments. Retrieve a refund by id.

Webhooks#

  • Events: payment.succeeded, payment.failed, payment.cancelled, refund.succeeded, refund.failed, and webhook.test.
  • Up to 5 endpoints per account, separate for test and live.
  • Signed with TigerPay-Signature (HMAC-SHA256).
  • Seven delivery attempts over about 32 hours.

Platform#

  • Secret keys: sk_test_ for test mode and sk_live_ for live mode.
  • Idempotency-Key on POST requests, kept for 24 hours.
  • Rate limit of 100 requests per minute per API key.
  • One error format with five error types.
  • WooCommerce plugin 1.0.0.

Not in v1#

Saved cards, subscriptions, a payouts API and currencies other than AED.
